(Digital Marketing Agency) –
Famous media player VLC has sneakily returned to iOS but only to some extent
after being dropped for iOS 8 released in September 2014 with a vague, official
comment about sorting out the issue with Apple and returning in early 2015.
According to techcrunch, the
app’s more recent reappearance in iTunes was first spotted by users on Reddit,
who shared screenshots of the new version, 2.4.1, which has been optimized for
the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and also offers folder support, some are reporting, showing images of
the updated interface. However, it appears the app is not completely
accessible for installation in all markets.
Earlier this week, VideoLAN
president Jean-Baptiste Kempf admitted that the firm did come back to iOS yet
only as a “partial rollout” as of now.
Though the official date of its
full release is not revealed, the firm suggested that there will be news
pertaining to iOS soon.
