Cuba Granted Approval on Public Wireless Hub in Havana



It was the first time ever in history that Cuba approves the public Wi-fi hub in Havana. According to Digital Marketing Agency, with the approval from government to open country's first public wireless hub at his cultural centre, artist Kcho, well connect to government, is operating with the paying approximately $900 (£600) per month to run it.
There is an estimation that Cuba have any type of internet service amounted only 5% - 25 %, as a result, the internet access is incredibly high cost. The real example is it cost $4.50 at the café within an hour of internet access.
Kcho state to the Associated Press, he said, “he decided to offer free internet at the centre, which opened in western Havana in January, in order to encourage Cubans to familiarize themselves with the internet.” Cuba’s government also show satisfaction on such move as well, additionally, Cuba’s government plan to upgrade its dilapidated or non-existent telecommunications infrastructure.
