(Digital
Marketing Agency) – Smart
mobile users will soon be able to indulge themselves with Nintendo’s games
including Super Mario, previously only available for Wii U or 3DS consoles,
which are preparing to be developed from the ground in collaboration with
Japanese mobile gaming powerhouse DeNa.
The duo will also unleash a membership
subscription that is accessible in both mobile phones and the brand’s existing
consoles later this year. “This will allow us to build a bridge between smart
devices and gaming consoles,” Nintendo President Satoru Iwata told the
publication. “It doesn’t mean smart devices will eat away at gaming consoles,
it will create an entirely new type of demand.”
The transaction costs a fortune of $181.4
million between the two firms which
culminates in 10 percent stakes from Nintendo while the DeNa owns 1.2 percent
worth of shares.
