China Removed US Tech Giants from the State-Approved List

Dropping US tech giants' from approved list may be one of many factors that can boost china’s native technology. According to Digital Marketing Agency,   about 60 Cisco products have been removed from the state-approved list of hardware.
Besides Cisco, McAfee and Citrix have also all been eliminated from China's official list of approved products. According to the Reuters news agency, “Huawei and ZTE are considered as the alternative list to be approved in.”
Tu Xinquan, associate director of the China Institute of World Trade Organization Studies, at Beijing's University of International Business and Economics told Reuters, “ongoing allegations from National Security Agency whistle-blower Edward Snowden about the extent of surveillance that US had been carrying out become a real concern, especially for top leaders.”

After china introduced rules governing tech firms selling products to bank—require them to control the source code of the their products, there is a change. However, US industry and technology groups are disagree to such rules and have sought clarification of how they will work.
