(Digital
Marketing Agency) –
Facebook wants to take its social networking page up a notch by letting users
read news from websites directly at its news feed instead of clicking links to
go to the sites.
The
tech giant has been reportedly contacted many publications including Buzzfeed, National Geographic, and The New York Times
to join and test this project by posting their news stories to Facebook straight
on. This means that the news will not appear as links but contents and can be
shared and like throughout news feed.
In a report by The New York Times, it has been said that the
new initiative might include revenue-sharing schemes and the usual ads placed
on the publisher’s stories could be removed and a single ad in a custom format
may be used for each article.
Facebook plans this project in hope of gaining more income
and lessen the online traffic flows substantially.
