Telecity Merges with Interxion in $2.2 Billion Deal

Digital Marketing Agency, European colocation providers Telecity and Interxion have announced a $2.2 billion merger deal with Telecity’s purchase of Interxion to create a joint group, initially led by Interxion CEO David Ruberg.
Valued at about the same level, the two firms have operated data centers across Europe in competition with each other. Telecity CEO John Hughes said: "Until the deal is consummated, we are running two companies that will compete with each other."
With the colocation market improving in the last three months, the CEO added: "I don’t think eight to ten percent is a level of growth we should be ashamed of. It is fine to look at the fact that Interxion is growing more rapidly."
