(Digital Marketing Agency,
thesnsgroup.com)- Under Armour Inc., which dislodged Adidas as the No. 2 sports
footwear and clothing brand in the United States by sales, behind Nike Inc., has
recently announced its deals for two mobile apps for roughly $560 million as
the company is trying to create the world's largest digital health and fitness
community.
Regarding terms of the deals, $475 million will
be paid for MyFitnessPal, a free app for tracking food habits and caloric
intake, while a further $85 million will go to Endomondo, a Danish firm which
describes itself as "the personal trainer in your pocket."
In 2013, Under Armour bought MapMyFitness, an app to
virtually track fitness workouts.
