The Two New Planets Similar To Earth: Kepler-438b and 442b

There are eight new planets has been discovered by NASA, including two, which are the most similar to Earth of any discovered so far, as Digital Marketing Agency reported.

Moreover, the first defined by NASA's Kepler mission, those eight planets are on the distant suns' “habitable zone”.

Mention that, the two of them, which similar to the earth are, Kepler-438b and which lies 475 light-years away, is just 12 percent bigger than Earth in diameter and has a 70 percent chance of being rocky, the scientists reported.

Kepler-442b is 1,100 light-years away and about one-third larger than Earth; its chance of being rocky is 60 percent.

“We don't know for sure whether any of the planets in our sample are truly habitable,” said David Kipping, an astronomer at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and second author on the paper. “All we can say is that they're promising candidates”.
