Apple’s Eye Tracking Technology Patent Approved, To Be Used on Future iOS and Mac Devices

According to Digital Marketing Agency information, American electronic powerhouse Apple has created a new patent legalized recently by the US Patent and Trademark Office. This late patent focuses on eye-tracking technology that is expected to be seen with the firm’s latter smart devices.

The Apple patent will display technology that withstand the Troxler Effect - an optical illusion of sorts wherein objects in the periphery tend to disappear when a user focuses on a particular part of the screen.

It will essentially continuously track the user’s eye movement and blinking to estimate when he/she is likely to lose track of the cursor. The technology will then automatically move the cursor to bring it back to visibility.

The patent hints that this technology will likely be input into users’ cameras, letting them control the cursor through their gazes.
