(Digital Marketing Agency, thesnsgroup.com)- Leading British
broadband provider TalkTalk is reportedly holding talks with Tesco over the
acquisition of loss-making video-streaming service Blinkbox, which was
initially bought by the supermarket chain three years ago to offer Netflix-type
movie, TV and music streaming.
The move comes as TalkTalk aims to boost its TV
business, with the deal expected to be officially announced on January 8, when Tesco
Chief Executive Dave Lewis is due to outline his strategy for reviving the
fortunes of Britain's biggest grocer.
Vodafone had also looked at Blinkbox, which analysts
say could be worth about 14 million pounds, according to previous reports.
