Cyber Attacks On New York Post And UPI’s Twitter Accounts



The Twitter account of the New York Post and the United Press International (UPI) have been hack , following by the Sony hack which hackers issued various confidential data, according to Digital Marketing Agency.  Hackers released fake tweets on economic and military news, after The Pope quoted on UPI’s Twitter mentioned that “World War III has begun”.

However, contrary to what the Pope said, the New York Post’s account said that “hostilities ha broken out between the United States and China.

According to the statement, six fake headlines had been posted on its account. One of those fake stories was: “USS George Washington, an aircraft carrier, was "engaged in active combat" against Chinese warships in the South China Sea.
Meanwhile, A Pentagon official said the above statement about the hostilities with China was not true. Currently, the New York Post told that it had sought to find the hackers.
Noted as well, besides New York Post, over the past two year, a range of media organizations namely AFP and BBC also experienced cyber-attack as well.
