NASA Develops RobotSimian for Aiding in Catastrophes

(Digital Marketing Agency) – The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has produced a robot called RobotSimian, which looks like an ape, to assist in saving and performing heavy tasks including lifting wreckages off survivors.

The production of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, this artificial intelligent consists of four matching appendages working as arms and legs. Together, they move the robot across rough terrain and rubble but can also pick up and manipulate objects, CNN reported. The RobotSimian also owns wheels for shoring when the surface is adequately even.
The robot has forged entry into the DARPA Robotics Challenge which select the best robot that will be receptive toward emergency in June 2015.
