– South Korean electronics giant Samsung had made a
new portable solid-state drive called SSD T1 public at the continuing
event of CES this year.
What
makes this portable device special is the fact that it is tinier than a
business card. It comes with 71.0×9.2×53.2mm of dimension while weighs only 30
grams.
However, do not underestimate its capacity since SSD T1
can contain 1TB of storage. The device can also runs a transferring speed of up
to 450 megabytes per second (MB/s) with AES 256-bit data encryption for
security purpose. The drive also comes with embedded security software.
SSD T1 will be available on January 20 with prices start
at Prices start at $179 for 256GB, $299 for 500GB and $599 for 1TB variants.
