(Digital Marketing Agency, thesnsgroup.com)- Hong Kong-based
international corp. Hutchison Whampoa Ltd has finally come to an agreement on
acquiring Telefonica's £10.25 billion-rated British mobile unit O2, only weeks
after former state monopoly BT entered exclusive talks with the owners of EE, the
leading mobile operator in UK.
Having returned to Britain in 2003, the deal will make
Hutchison the top mobile operator in the country.
“Analysts and investors welcomed the deal, which will
consist in an all-cash transaction of 9.25 billion pounds, with another 1
billion pounds to be paid when the combined business reach certain cash flow
targets,” Reuter cited.
