Yahoo Inc. is on the verge of splashing out a stunning $640 million on
BrightRoll with an attempt to interest marketers to acquire its video ads in
real-time.
The move comes as Yahoo has switched sights on
focusing to a larger extent on the video ads in which the California-based
company sees as key to offsetting declining Internet ad prices and decelerating
growth.
With this acquisition of BrightRoll, an automated
advertising service, Yahoo will become the largest video ad platform
in the US, the firmed claimed earlier this week.
