
Digital Marketing Agency, A subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation, NTT Communications has launched its third data center in the Pudong Development Zone of Shanghai, claiming highly efficient design of the facility enables it to offer cloud and colocation services 20 percent cheaper than the regional average.
Established by the Japanese government in 1952, the Japanese telecoms giant is now the largest telecommunications company in the world in terms of revenue, with around a third of its shares still owned by the state and its subsidiary NTT Communications running a network of more than 130 data centers worldwide, serving 196 countries and regions.
NTT Coms says the Chinese data center market grew 20 percent in 2013, and the new facility should help meet the increasing demand for enterprise –grade cloud services.
