(Digital
Marketing Agency) – Without going to the hospital for a usual checkup,
people can actually check the health of their heart now by a new online website
which can evaluate the potential development in cardio-vascular disease (CVD)
in the next 20 years.
Called the Healthy Heart Score, the free web-based
survey, established by researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health, help
users by asking simple yet the most impactful questions that trigger the risk
of developing the grim disease. As a result, users will get risk score of low
(green), moderate (yellow), or high (red) and guidelines to improve their
hearts’ health.
“The Healthy Heart Score is all about modifiable
lifestyle risks, which may increase awareness of CVD prevention through
lifestyle interventions earlier in life, prior to the development of clinical
risk factors,” said Stephanie Chiuve, assistant professor at the Harvard
Medical School.
