Amazon Sets Sights on Launching Ad-Supported Video Streaming Service

(Digital Marketing Agency, thesnsgroup.com)- Amazon.com Inc. is reportedly preparing to launch a new ad-supported video streaming service in bid to compete directly with Hulu and Netflix Inc., whose charges begin with $7.99 a month for customers in the US.

If the New York Post is to be believed, the soon-to-be-released service will be separate from the company's $99-a-year Prime membership, which includes a video service.

“Though the new service will be separate from Prime, ultimately Amazon plans to lure more users and eventually get them to sign up for Prime,” stated the report.
