DoE Urges US Firms to Help Improve Chinese Data Centers

Digital Marketing Agency, The US government is keen for data center providers to enter the Chinese market with Department of Energy (DoE) planning to help them do so by exporting energy efficient practices.
Despite China’s booming data center market with a big requirement for energy efficient data centers, their current energy efficiency is not very good. As regards this, the DoE has urged efficiency expert Dale Sartor of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) to educate US businesses in the needs of Chinese data centers, and to help promote the export of efficient practices.
DCD Intelligence points out that over the past three years data center space in China has grown at around 20 percent. In 2014, space was up at 19.3 percent over the previous year and investment up by 28.2 percent.
