Tweets To Be Visible In Google Searches



Digital Marketing Agency, According to reports, Twitter struck a deal with Google, giving the search giant access to its firehose, or the stream of data generated by users' tweets. Therefore, tweets will soon appear in Google searches.

It is worth noting that Google has always crawled the firehose manually. However, thanks to the two companies’ agreement, within the next three months tweets will automatically appear in searches as soon as they're posted.

Asked how this deal differs from the previous one that Twitter had that ran from 2009-2011 with Google, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo said: “We’ve got the opportunity now to drive a lot of attention to and aggregate eyeballs, if you will, to these logged-out experiences, topics and events that we plan on delivering on the front page of Twitter. And that’s one of the reasons this makes a lot more sense for us now.”

Google Apparently Updating Android Lollipop Version with a New Notification Pane



(Digital Marketing Agency) – It has not been known whether it was intentional or accidental but Google’s Android One website for Indonesia allegedly updated Android Lollipop version to 5.1 with a few leak screenshots a few days ago.

According to the images, there are slightly modification in the next version. These include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dropdowns in the notification pane, and what seems like a new battery analysis app.

This new design also seems to directly link Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to the preferred devises and networks respectively instead of the current toggle switches.

This purported Lollipop version 5.1 is supposed to provide better system stability, improved RAM management, and fixes for frequent app crashes, Wi-Fi connectivity issues, and issues with Okay Google function among others, according to bgr.com.
So far, Google has not provided any information regarding this rumor yet.

Emoticons in Texts Charges More Than Expected



Number of people employed emoticons to express how they feel, rather than writing. However, BBC has learned that those emoticons could rack up huge bills. According to Digital Marketing Agency, such action was likely to affects the phones’ model, namely some Apple and Samsung handsets.

Scotland was a case, for instance, after adding emoticons to text messages, a woman rack up bills totaling over £1,000. It was such a large amount of payment.

BT Said to Complete Capture of UK Mobile Network Operator EE



(Digital Marketing Agency, thesnsgroup.com)- Britain's biggest fixed-line telecoms provider BT has reportedly sealed a deal with Orange and Deutsche Telekom for the acquisition of EE, a move that would accelerate BT’s plans to give retail customers seamless access to the Internet as well as to cut costs through the rationalization of networks and operations, together with selling broadband to EE clients that it does not already serve.

However, BT declined to comment on the matter.

“In December BT said that if the deal went through it expected to pay for EE with a roughly 50:50 split of cash and shares for a combined value of 12.5 billion pounds, although Deutsche Telekom will get a 12 percent stake in BT and the right to appoint one board member while France's Orange will get more cash and only a 4 percent stake in BT,” cited Reuter.

Twitter-Owned Vine Releases Vinekids, a Funny and Delightful App Aiming for Children



(Digital Marketing Agency) – The six-second video sharing app Vine, picked up by Twitter in October 2012, has recently launched a kid-friendly platform called Vinekids.

According to CNN, the kid-targeted app is a standalone version of Vine to filter out inappropriate posts for its tiniest users.

Vinekids is similar to its predecessor, however, with the use of animated characters and delectable animals to attract children.

They can swipe left or right for new vetted videos and tap the screen for fun sound effects, as mentioned by Vine’s head of communication and marketing, Carolyn Penner.

The app is currently downloadable via iOS devices.

Google Gets Ready for Ride-Hailing Service Roll-out

According to Bloomberg, Google's chief legal officer and also a member of Uber's board David Drummond has recently informed the app-based ride service of Google's plans, potentially imperiling Uber's reliance on the search powerhouse, as the cab service's smartphone applications for drivers and riders are based on Google Maps.

Snapchat Heightens Competition with Rivals with Update on Its Messaging Service

Google Removed 524M Bad Ads Last Year

Facebook New Threat on Malware

Avast Discovers a New Malware in Google Play Store’s Popular Apps



(Digital Marketing Agency) – Security firm Avast has revealed that a new malware has been found within Google Play store apps which begins to display advertisements disguised as warning messages to end users when they unlock their Android smartphones.
Avast noticed that the harmful adware has, by far, infected the applications that have already been well-known and excessively installed such as a card game app called Durak. It has 5 to 10 million installs, according to the data on Google Play.
Avast also reported that the malware smartly controls the advertisement by displaying adds after several days up to a month of installation instead of an immediate post which by then confuses the owner of which apps cause the abnormal behavior in the phone.
So far, Google has confirmed that the mentioned malware has been adjourned.

Virtus Officially Opens LONDON2 Data Center in Hayes



Digital Marketing Agency, Having opened LONDON1 in 2011, British colocation specialist Virtus has now officially launched LONDON2 data center in Hayes, a suburb of London close to Heathrow, to better serve the needs of customers based in the capital. Google Set to Launch Mobile Phone Plans in Deals with US Internet Heavyweights

Amazon Challenges Microsoft and Google with Email and Calendering App “WorkMail”

According to Wall Street Journal, WorkMail is also encrypted once they’re sent, and then decrypted via a company-controlled key at the other end of the tunnel when received by the intended target.

Report from techcrunch mentions that WorkMail also offers a “feature-rich” web-based client for access without any special software.

Snapchat Release Discover, a New Feature That Allows Users to Browse through Renowned Broadcasting Channels

Samsung Reportedly Set to Produce Mass Amount of Chips for Next iPhone

Google Now Backs Crawlers with Locale-Adaptive Web Pages



Digital Marketing Agency, Google announced that the company added support for their crawlers with locale-adaptive web pages, web pages that change the content based on the user’s country origin and/or language settings.

With the new support for crawlers, the company introduces two methods: geo-distributed crawling and language-dependent crawling; however, Google strongly recommends you use different URLs or TLDs based on having content specific for different countries or languages.

Google said: “These new configurations do not alter our recommendation to use separate URLs with rel=alternate hreflang annotations for each locale. We continue to support and recommend using separate URLs as they are still the best way for users to interact and share your content, and also to maximize indexing and better ranking of all variants of your content.”

Gate Warns Threat on Artificial Intelligence



Bill Gates, Microsoft founder, said the threat caused by artificial intelligence was significant. Human should highly take into consideration, according to Digital Marketing Agency.

However Gates’ claims on the threat of AI seems contradictory. He skeptical on why there was no harm by possibility that AI could grow too strong for people to control.
