Huawei Sees Its Smartphone Sales Rocket up after Copying Rival Online Strategy



(Digital Marketing Agency, thesnsgroup.com)- Huawei Technologies Co Ltd has enjoyed seeing its low-price-but-rich-in-feature smartphone sales rocket from 1 million to 20 million in just one year after the company copied online sales strategy from its upstart counterpart Xiaomi Inc.

“Huawei’s Honor brand of smartphones president Jeff Liu said industry transition to an online sales strategy was inevitable given the competitive pricing, afforded by reduced distribution expenses that would otherwise make up 30 percent of handset costs,” reported Reuter.

"E-commerce is massively changing the traditional channels for the smartphone industry, and we needed to go in that direction too," Liu said was quoted as saying.
