Digital Marketing Agency, Earlier this week Google was reported to begin showing lyrics to songs directly in the search results. Google is now showing long answers with the lyrics, then link to the rest on Google Play with the company licensing the content.
It is worth noting that now Google is also displaying the lyrics, with the Google Play link, on video results that come up for song related queries.
Google made a comment on why they are showing lyrics in the search results: “There’s a feeling you get when you turn to a song and you know that the words have two meanings. Well it’s whispered that now if you go search the tune, maybe Google will lead you to reason. Ooh, it makes you wonder…”
