Eleven Chinese Internet Companies Fined for Spreading Pornography and Violence

(Digital Marketing Agency, thesnsgroup.com)- It has been reported that Tencent Holdings and search engine giant Baidu are among the eleven Internet companies fined by China’s ministry of culture for spreading pornography and violence.

The penalty comes just months after the country launched an anti-pornography campaign as part of wider efforts to "clean up" the Internet.

“Mobile game platforms run by Tencent, which runs one of the most popular mobile messaging apps in China, search engine giant Baidu and another nine companies were alleged to be involved in pornography, gambling and violence,” Reuter cited  state news agency Xinhua as saying.
