United
Airlines banned researcher from flight after 'joke tweet', saying that he might
be able to hack the aircraft's systems. According to the flight schedule, Chris Roberts, security researcher, has a flight
from Colorado to San Francisco to take part and give speech at a major security
conference on Saturday. According to Digital Marketing Agency, “Earlier, he tweeted he thought he could
deploy the oxygen masks on board.”
In spite of the ban, United said: "We are confident our
flight control systems could not be accessed through techniques
described." However, why Mr Roberts
was ban? "Given Mr Roberts's claims regarding manipulating aircraft
systems, we've decided it's in the best interest of our customers and crew
members that he not be allowed to fly United,” said Rahsaan Johnson
