Turkey
lifted social media restrictions after image of a prosecutor being held at
gunpoint removing. According to Digital
Marketing Agency, “Two gunmen, reportedly from a far-left group,
took the prosecutor hostage at an Istanbul courthouse last week. All three died
during a police rescue bid.”
Previously,
the access to social medial was block. Additionally, images of prosecutor
Mehmet Selim Kiraz was describe as anti-government propaganda by officials. Turkish
newspaper Hurriyet reported, “The pictures showing attackers holding a gun to
Mr Kiraz's head were being widely shared on social media, leading authorities
to act.” Unsurprisingly, the block to access social media doesn’t just happen.
