giant Amazon has reported a $57m (£38m) loss in the first quarter of 2015. The
reporters also gave further details regarding the performance of its web
services business.
According
to Digital Marketing
Agency, “the company revenue from sales of Amazon web services (AWS)
for the first three months of 2015 was $1.57bn.” Additionally, Founder Jeff
Bezos said in a statement "Amazon web services is a $5 billion business
and still increasing quick and fast."
Increased
sales in North America, the company's biggest market, could lead to the
increase in revenue, counted by 15% to $22.7bn. It is the better expected.
Additionally,
web services providing increased by 49% from a year earlier, getting from its
sales. “But with Microsoft, Google and IBM among rivals seeking to eat into its
market share, the question is whether those margins will hold up over the long
term,” said reporters.
