Alibaba Opens North China Cloud Data Center worth $2.9bn



Digital Marketing Agency, As part of China’s e-commerce giant Alibaba’s expansion of cloud facilities after announcing a cloud data center in Silicon Valley in the US, the company has opened a large cloud data center worth $2.9bn in North China.
According to Hebei Daily, the Zhangbei cloud data center broke ground in the Miaotan Industrial Park in Zhangbei County, Hebei Province. It is expected that the Zhangbei cloud data center will host 80 percent of Alibaba’s cloud and big data in North China and to serve as the group’s North China settlement center. 
It is worth noting that at present cloud only accounts for one percent of Alibaba’s total income; however, the group has bet its future on cloud.
