Markley Group Receives $240m to Expand Data Center


Digital Marketing Agency, New England based telecoms and data center firm Markley Group has got $240 million for business expansion. The Group aims to use the money to expand its flagship data center and develop its Markley Coud on demand computing and storage service as well as developing other sites.
According to the operator, its 900,000 sq ft (84,000 sq m) facility is one of the largest and longest-operating colocation data centers in New England. The operator describes the facility as the only ‘carrier hotel’ in the region due to its volume and variety of connectivity options, which includes housing the Boston Internet Exchange (BIX) IP peering network.
Jeffrey D. Markley, CEO of the group, said: “This new and robust financing package allows us to accelerate our growth and explore new projects in new markets.”
