As well-known Digital Marketing Agency, thesnsgroup.com highlighted, recent study by research firm eMarketer has suggested Twitter will have around 400 million global users by 2018 in spite of the fact that it is reaching a plateau in many developed countries.
Such potential increase, in
accord with the study, results largely from a sense that the social network is
spreading extensively in Asia, Latin American and the Middle East, where a collectively
huge population settles down.
As estimated, Twitter’s global
user count will have reached just 386.9 million users by the next four years,
with India and Indonesia being the third- and fourth-largest Twitter
populations respectively.
“These are markets where
people are using their smartphones and feature phones that are perfect for
Twitter,” said Debra Aho Williamson, the principal analyst for social media at
eMarketer.
