Tweets To Be Visible In Google Searches

Digital Marketing Agency, According to reports, Twitter struck a deal with Google, giving the search giant access to its firehose, or the stream of data generated by users' tweets. Therefore, tweets will soon appear in Google searches.

It is worth noting that Google has always crawled the firehose manually. However, thanks to the two companies’ agreement, within the next three months tweets will automatically appear in searches as soon as they're posted.

Asked how this deal differs from the previous one that Twitter had that ran from 2009-2011 with Google, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo said: “We’ve got the opportunity now to drive a lot of attention to and aggregate eyeballs, if you will, to these logged-out experiences, topics and events that we plan on delivering on the front page of Twitter. And that’s one of the reasons this makes a lot more sense for us now.”
