(Digital Marketing Agency,
thesnsgroup.com)- Google Inc. is reportedly gearing up for offering its
own ride-hailing service in a move that will put the giant company in
cut-throat competition with Uber.
According to Bloomberg, Google's
chief legal officer and also a member of Uber's board David Drummond has recently
informed the app-based ride service of Google's plans, potentially imperiling
Uber's reliance on the search powerhouse, as the cab service's smartphone
applications for drivers and riders are based on Google Maps.
“Uber executives have been made
privy to screenshots of Google's ride-sharing app, which is currently being
used by Google's employees,” cited Bloomberg.
