Anticipants of the blockbuster game this year can now start their journey with
today’s kicking off from Bungie’s biggest and priciest game ever created –
Destiny.
With
the cost of $500 million, the game is a first-person shooter with sci-fi theme
that portrays a future where protagonist sets a journey to rescue humankinds
from being destroyed by aliens.
“The investment had
been strongly focused on the social aspect of the game and of the Destiny
universe, which is what has set it apart from other games,” said Derek
Carroll, a designer for Bungie who has worked on Destiny for almost five years.
“Destiny
is a tremendous undertaking and it is certainly the biggest game I’ve ever
worked on or that possibly anyone’s ever worked on,” Carroll added.
The
game’s platforms are PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, and it can only be
played via online.
