
In Hong Kong, Instagram has
been blocked after many of images of pro-democracy protesters have been
uploaded on this social media, according to Digital
Marketing Agency reported.
In addition, Instagram is a non-Chinese social media app, but observers had long expected that the
app's days were numbered in China.
Mention
that, there are many social media apps in China had been blocked such as
Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Google.
Instagram
representative did not respond for comment, but this app is block, according to
data from monitoring services blockedinchina.net and GreatFire.org.
Even
on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, a search for "Instagram"
was not permitted.
"In
accordance with relevant laws, regulations and policies, search results of
'Instagram' could not be displayed," the service said.
