Legendary Yahoo Inc. is claimed to set sights on buying shares of
mobile-messaging app Snapchat, the startup that enables users to send messages
disappearing after just a few seconds.
In relation to celebrated Wall Street Journal’s report,
the two giant companies have already opened talks which are highly likely to
bring about an investment in Snapchat.
The mobile app, Snapchat, is valued at about $10
billion and it has yet been clear how much Yahoo plans to put into the hugely
popular application.
Meanwhile, Institutional Venture Partners and DST
Global, two previous Snapchat investors, are also planning to invest in the
company, the WSJ states.
