(Digital Marketing Agency, thesnsgroup.com) - Mexico
will, according to its plan, have had a state-owned mobile network in the next
four years after practically kicking off its project estimated to be worth $10
billion on the matter.
As Mexico's telecoms regulator cited, it and the
telecommunications and transport ministry already came to agreement on terms
and conditions for the development of the network in an initial step towards
launching the project.
“Mexico's President Enrique Pena Nieto has bet that
opening up the telecom sector will boost economic growth, going so far as to
put the mobile network project into the constitution with a completion date of
late 2018, to prevent lobbying efforts to halt it,” Reuters reported.
