The New Additional Filters

Instagram has added some new filters, and it is the first time it has done in two years, leading to Digital Marketing Agency reported.  One more thing, the five new filters brings the total number in the app to 24.

“In December 2012, we added Mayfair and Willow to the Instagram filter family and a lot has happened in the last two years. Photography trends have evolved, and the capabilities of the camera on your phone have vastly improved”.

“Inspired by the photography, art, fashion and design of the global Instagram community, we’re releasing five new filters that we believe are our best yet,” the company said.

In addition to the new filters, Instagram has changed how filters are displayed at the bottom of a photo.

“Filters are becoming a competitive advantage for Instagram so I suspect you'll see it develop more filters as time goes on because that's the real value of their service,” noted IDC Research Director Chris Chute.

SSD T1: Samsung’s Tiniest Portable Device with 1T of Storage Kicking Off at CES 2015

(Digital Marketing Agency) – South Korean electronics giant Samsung had made a new portable solid-state drive called SSD T1 public at the continuing event of CES this year.

What makes this portable device special is the fact that it is tinier than a business card. It comes with 71.0×9.2×53.2mm of dimension while weighs only 30 grams.

However, do not underestimate its capacity since SSD T1 can contain 1TB of storage. The device can also runs a transferring speed of up to 450 megabytes per second (MB/s) with AES 256-bit data encryption for security purpose. The drive also comes with embedded security software.

SSD T1 will be available on January 20 with prices start at Prices start at $179 for 256GB, $299 for 500GB and $599 for 1TB variants. 

Hyundai to Reveal Blue Link App at CES 2015

(Digital Marketing Agency) – The South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer Hyundai will let car enthusiasts get a glimpse of its new Blue Link App, an application that allows users to remotely control their cars, at CES in Las Vegas this week.

The Android-based app uses Bluetooth to link the app from the car with a voice command and let users remotely start, lock and unlock doors, find the vehicles in a parking lot, call for roadside assistance or call the 

Blue Link service, flash the lights, and honk the horn.

The Blue Link app will be officially available via Google Play store sometime during the first quarter of 2015 in both smart devices and wearable tech.

Google makes Additional $66m Investment in Its Taiwan Data Center

Digital Marketing Agency, Google is adding $66.4m to its data center in central Taiwan, delivering on a promise to build its business in Asia. Located in an industrial park of Changhua County, the facility opened in December 2013, and was built for $600m.

According to Focus Taiwan, the additional investment has been approved by the Investment Commission of the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan. The Investment Commission says the additional investment is being made through Google's affiliate Kohl Holdings Limited.

It is worth noting that at present Google operates two data centers in the Asia-Pacific region:  one at Jurong West in Singapore and the other at the Changhua County in Taiwan.

Facebook Completes Acquisition of Wit.ai, Voice Recognition Company

(Digital Marketing Agency, thesnsgroup.com)- With 1.3 billion users, world's largest Internet social network Facebook Inc. is increasingly looking to extend its reach beyond computers and smartphones with its recent acquisition of wit.ai, a 18-month-old firm that makes voice recognition technology for wearable devices and Internet- connected appliances.

Basically, wit.ai makes software that can understand spoken words as well as written text phrased in natural language.

“The deal comes as technology companies are racing to bring Internet connectivity to a new crop of devices, from watches to washing machines. Voice recognition, the technology that helps power services such as Apple Inc's Siri, is considered a key building block for the new devices to earn mainstream consumer appeal,” cited Reuter.

Chinese Users Unable To Get Access To Google Search & Other Google Properties

Digital Marketing Agency, According to Chinese users, no longer are they able to use Google for search. This is also confirmed by Google's transparency report. It is reported that China has blocked access to Gmail, as well as other Google properties.

Provided that you check Google’s transparency report specifically for Web search access within China you will see that traffic for that property is about half the normal usage since after December 25^th.

“We’ve checked and there’s nothing technically wrong on our end,” said a Google spokesperson. Some users in China trying to access Google web search are being blocked completely. Even though some users are able to be redirected to Google Hong Kong, about half of those users are being cut off.

The Problem of the Mars Rover Opportunity

The Mars rover Opportunity has a problem with its memory, leading to Digital Marketing Agency reported.

“Mars rover Opportunity, which has been exploring the Red Planet for more than 10 years, is suffering from memory problems”, according to Nasa has said.

By this way, the Nasa project manager John Callas has explained that, the rover like a typical computer, it has two key types of memory  such as volatile and non-volatile.

In this case, Non-volatile memory “remembers” its information even if it is powered down, making it ideal for long-term storage, similar to how a hard drive works on a PC.

Indeed Volatile memory is comparable to a PC's random access memory or RAM - is quicker to access but requires power, so when the machine turns off, any data stored within the volatile memory is lost.

Anyway, the rover has problem with Non-volatile memory, it means that when the rover tries to save telemetry data to the flash memory it fails, and so it then writes it to the volatile memory instead.
