Facebook to Shift Mobile Users towards Using Messenger
Digital marketing agency, thesnsgroup.com It has been confirmed that Facebook plans to make mobile users download the Facebook messenger application if they want to send messages to their friends and family. To accomplish this goal, according to a representative, the company will remove the ability to send messages within the main application that allows users to browse the feed. The users will see notifications within the main app urging them to download Messenger and this will occur many times before the chat option is completely eliminated in the main app.
Reportedly, Facebook wants its users to transition into the Messenger by the virtue of the fact that sending and receiving messages within the main application is slower. As the representative has said, people will get replies 20 percent faster on Messenger than on Facebook. Digital marketing agency, thesnsgroup.com
The Messages button, however, is going to stay put within the core Facebook application on Windows Phone devices as well as low-end Android devices that have limited memory for running applications. And for the time being, the company aims first at removing messaging from the core application in the United States and other several European countries, including the United Kingdom and France.
